Love and other chemical processes

Although in fairy tales (and in Hollywood films) make us believe that love is forever and that monogamy is natural de facto ago voles years taught us that monogamy actually depends at least in part, on genetic variation in the gene vasopressin, a hormone that also acts as a neuropeptide that is, they can influence neuronal activity and thus on behavior but not today I speak of this hormone but his cousin's oxytocin also appears in fairy tales but a little before The End and that some have called the "love hormone" but as real life is not just good and pink.

The reason for the good name of oxytocin is because this hormone is secreted in large amounts by both men and women during orgasm responsible for the link is said between lovers but also is secreted during delivery thus ensuring the mother-child bond. In fact rats unable to secrete oxytocin reject their young (1) . But the funny thing is that even our perception of the relationship with our mother in the presence of oxytocin varies: people who are going through a time of personal distress and have doubts about their social relationships tend to remember their mothers as distant and less affectionate than those with security that the positive memory of their mothers is emphasized. (2)

has also been shown to increase confidence but not under any circumstances, Carolyn H. Declerck demonstrated in a cooperative game that oxytocin only made people more cooperative if they knew their partner had previously played surprisingly when a stranger made them oxytocin less cooperative.
And right now, a group of scientists from the University of Amsterdam has found that after exposure to oxytocin we become more aligned with our group (in this case) ethno-cultural and more reluctant towards others, in other words increase our sense of belonging to a group ("us vs. the rest"), which in evolutionary terms the authors explain as a means of promoting community life. (3)

Then the hormone of love "can also cause hate? in fact this apparent contradiction is not so surprising when you consider that the neurohormonal system connected to the emotions work in response to many factors that vary not only temporarily in the life of an individual but also with regard to cultural factors, example. In the case of oxytocin receptor (OXTR), the variant that in theory gives its holders increased sociability and sensitivity produces a consistent behavior in people but not Korean American. The former tend to seek help in bad times, while the latter do not because such an attitude is socially reprehensible (4) . Thus we see how the medium shapes the biology and define why una molécula en términos tan genéricos como "molécula del amor" es casi tan absurdo como intentar venderla como medio de potenciar el éxito comercial, evitar el divorcio o ¡¡hacer más felices a las mujeres!!

¿Confianza liquida o trampa publicitaria?
Nota: personalmente he sufrido con la búsqueda del video del cuento de hadas pero me pareció que quizá a alguien le parecería tierno.
