How Do Gated Communities Work

My PC and me.

Se me acumulan los temas de los que quiero hablar pero me falta el tiempo...
Este será un artículo corto, más de desahogo que otra cosa pero las últimas semanas en el lab are being durum. And are not being because it costs me spend hours trying to do something which under ideal conditions, that is, if I knew it would take me 5 minutes but the feeling of helplessness that leads me not knowing.

Curious ...
One of the reasons why we choose to do science is precisely because the bug of curiosity, because it calls us do not understand what we want to reach beyond the known / learned and that means always feel helpless, especially at first.
There are principles that represent a conversion and / or relearning in a particular field, eg in the choice of postdoctoral project is always recommended to change or experimental model (from worm to mouse, for example) or system (the olfactory to the visual ...) but not both because the relearning is complicated too. In my case, relearning is quasi total: I've gone from bench top to molecular biology and work with genes, proteins and promoters to deal with mice, brains, dual-photon microscopes and worst of all have to be programmed.

Almost as sad face that I get when I look at the screen computer.
Until now analyze the results of an experiment was something that even the most important being the process did not seem an issue that had to devote much effort. Once clear how you want to analyze it, you put the data into a computer program and the response is served.
What happens when the amount of data you get and the type of data is such that there is no program appropriate in the market that allows you to analyze away? as playing the "I what I cook it as" how common it is in the laboratories where experiments with the most advanced techniques or developing. My problem is my ability to program does not go beyond putting the timer on the microwave so this issue is becoming the hardest part of my project, and now I regret that the race did not have a single programming course and my relationship love-hate relationship with computers will never let me realize what a loss that is without them in Science, in fact, recently published a list of the most valuable skills to succeed in scientific careers and TOP1 was of course skills in the field of bioinformatics (Lab Times) .

Anyway, despite the despair that fills me every time MatLab window red lights meaning, in his beautiful and inextricable language, I'm back to mess up, keep trying to MatLab and I became a symbiont even at the cost to start thinking in programming language (which scary!)
